Has your cat got what it takes to become Cats Protection’s next feline face?
Has your cat got star quality?

If so, grab your camera and start clicking for Cats Protection right now! The charity is launching its annual photographic competition on 20 August so now’s the chance for amateur photographers to capture their feline friend on film. Winning photos could be featured in Cats Protection’s 2007 calendar and other CP publications or may even become the next ‘cover cat’ for the charity’s popular magazine, The Cat.
This year’s competition has four categories, including: -
  • Perfect Portrait – Capture the purr-sonality of your cat in a special portrait shot.
  • Cats in action – Stretching, playing, eating, jumping – catch your cat in the act.
  • Cuddly kittens – The category for you if your kitten’s middle name is adorable!
  • Best friends – Cats and fellow felines; cats and other animals; cats and people; capture the shot that portrays that special relationship.
An impressive prize package is on offer for the overall winner, including a £250 voucher for photographic equipment. Prizes will also be awarded to four category winners and ten runners up.

Digital prints are acceptable, as long as they are unaltered from their original state, printed on good quality photographic paper and accompanied by the original image on disk.

Photos must be accompanied by a 2005 Cats Protection photographic entry form, available from the charity’s Helpline (Tel: 08702 099 099).

The closing date is 21st October 2005.
There is a minimum donation of £1 per photo entered.
We regret that we will not be able to return any of your photos. The competition is open to residents of the UK and Ireland.
